The Learning Disabilities Association of Illinois invites you to attend a session of the Janet Lerner Memorial Parent Speaker Series on: “Engaging with Learning at Home (without going out of your mind!) including segments for: early grades, middle school, and high school and then Q & A. Presenter is Amy Barto, President, Learning Disabilities Association of Michigan, college instructor, and active in the Healthy Children Project.

  • Tuesday, May 10, 2022, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Central. The Illinois Council for Exceptional Children invites you to attend its program in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Council for Exceptional Children, presented by our own, Dr. Debbie LeBlanc on: “Leadership with Kindness.”

  • Saturday, May 14, 2022, 10:00 a.m. Central. The Learning Disabilities Association of Illinois invites you to attend a special session in Spanish with Jackie Bjes on the topic of Helping Emergent Bilinguals.

  • Monday, May 16, 2022,7:00 p.m. Central timeLDA invites you to attend a workshop on “The Impact on Siblings when another child in the family has a disability.”

  • Tuesday, May 17, 2022, 7:30 p.m. Kappa chapter is sponsoring the program for Eta Kappa and Alpha Delta chapters. The speaker is Maria Rodriguez a trustee on the Chicago Teachers Pension Fund. She will be speaking on issues affecting the fund as well as issues affecting all pension funds. Everyone is invited to attend. We know that some DKG members retired from the state teachers fund but because they worked for a time in Chicago that they receive a partial check from Chicago. They are especially invited to listen to the presentation. After the presentation we will have 3 break out rooms for individual chapters to meet.

  • Wednesday, May 18th - 10 am central Texas Car invites all of us at to a painting class with Mary Griffin--Acrylic Flowers in a Vase.
